The Genius Media Nigeria reports that a viral video showed five students including a female being mercilessly flogged with long cane by five clerics for alleged conducts conceived to be contrary to the rules of the school.
According to report, the students were punished for allegedly celebrating a birthday party in a club house and taking alcohol.
Reacting to this, Social media users in their thousands have condemned the barbaric action of the islamic teachers

This religion is something else, growing up I saw with my eyes how Islamic teacher beat up children mercilessly, honestly the memories of those days while growing up is still fresh in me, yet most of them still grew up becoming irresponsible and wicked. You may condemn them but what they went/go through in the hands of their Islamic teachers could possibly hardened their hearts as they commit different crimes in the society.

This must be somewhere in kwara state. I’ve come to understand that kwara is the only western state in Nigeria that act similar if not same to northern Islamic states. Aside that, the school should be closed and those people arrested. Unfortunately this is Nigeria, chief of Judge is from an Islamic school too
