HAPPENING NOW!!! Watch As Fire Destroys Kano TV Station At #NigeriaAt61—-The Genius Media Nigeria reports that Kano State Government-owned television station , Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV) was on Friday gutted by fire.

TGM gathered that this was made known by the Station Director General, Hajia Sa’a Ibrahim in an interview with newsmen.

Ibrahim said that she was informed of the inferno by the engineers and they immediately swung into into action to extinguish it.

‘’We are lucky that there was no causality as the young men playing football on the station pitch gave us helping hand before the arrival of the fire fighters.

Sa’a Ibrahim who is also the Chairman of Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON) said the Commissioners for Works and Information have been notified of the outbreak.

According to eyewitness, the fire outbreak destroyed one of the studios at the television station.

The source said that though investigation as to the cause of the inferno is on-going , electrical spark was suspected.

The inferno that lasted about one hour was later brought under control by fire-fighters and good Samaritans.
