#BARPSG: Lionel Messi Will Leave Barcelona For PSG, Rivaldo Reveals—-Brazil football legend, Rivaldo has said that Barcelona captain Lionel Messi will join Paris St Germain when his contract expires.
The Genius Media Nigeria reports that he said this after PSG trashed Barcelona 4-1 in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg at the Camp Nou in Spain.
Rivaldo said the exit of Luis Suarez from Barcelona will contribute to Messi’s exit from the club at the end of the season when his contract will have expired.
“This heavy defeat against PSG will almost certainly be Messi’s last Champions League game with Barcelona at the Camp Nou,” Rivaldo told Betfair.
“[Barcelona cannot give Messi] the real possibility of fighting for big trophies.
“His future will be PSG, even more so given his display at the Camp Nou. They are a team that can give him the option of continuing to win trophies.”
He added, “Messi is well into his 30s, [and he] is still taking responsibility for the team.
“And to make matters worse, this season, he has seen his best teammate, Luis Suarez, leave in an incomprehensible sale that has served to make Atletico Madrid stronger than ever. Suarez is now the current Pichichi…”
Rivaldo also explained that Barcelona have no chance of coming back against PSG in the second leg in Paris next month.
“There is not a single player in the squad who believes in the comeback. It’s impossible to turn it around,” the Brazilian said.
