Six And half Years later, More Chibok Girls Escape From Boko Haram Den——According to report, More Chibok school girls have regained their freedom after six and a half years in Boko Haram den.
Their escape was confirmed last night (Thursday, January 28, 2021) by Nigeria’s international human rights lawyer Emmanuel Ogebe whose Washington-based
US NIGERIA LAW GROUP has been in the forefront of the struggle for the release and rehabilitation of the abducted girls.
Ogebe wrote in a statement made available to News Express via e-mail:
“Today, a parent of still missing Chibok schoolgirls who USNLG supports informed us of the escape of additional schoolgirls six years and nine months after their abduction.
US Nigeria Law Group researched our database of the abducted schoolgirls which is the most extensive in America and now has details of the confirmed identified escaped schoolgirl.
“In the photograph below, international human rights lawyer Emmanuel Ogebe is pictured to the left of Mr Ali Maiyanga, father of the reported latest escapee. To Mr Ali’s right is US Congressman Chris Smith.
“The picture below is from a statement we issued in November 2016 when the first of his two abducted daughters escaped and returned with a baby born in captivity. Four years and two months later his second daughter has reportedly also escaped making Mr Maiyanga one of the luckiest Chibok parents.
“His two daughters were part of the few Muslim schoolgirls taken with the majority Christian Chibok girls.
“Information currently available to us indicates that there are other escapees whom parents are anxiously waiting to identify.”
