MICHAEL ‘HARRY-O HARRIS: Snoop Dogg Lobbies Donald Trump To Pardon Death Row Record FounderAmerican rapper and media personality, Snoop Dogg has reportedly been lobbying President Donald Trump through two activists to pardon Michael “Harry-O” Harris, the co-founder of Death Row Record.

The Genius Media Nigeria reports that 58-year-Old Harris was convicted of attempted murder and kidnapping in 1988, and is currently being held at a Federal Correctional Facility in Lompoc, California.

He has since been campaigning for prison reform while in prison with his sentence expected to go through till 2028.

The music executive and his legal team had pushed for an early compassionate release, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the request was denied.

In a last-ditch effort to secure his release before Trump leaves office, Snoop and other advocates insist he’s reformed himself in prison and are hoping the outgoing administration will step in and grant him his release.

The push is being taken to Trump directly by Alice Johnson, who became a criminal justice reform advocate after Trump pardoned her life sentence two-and-a-half years ago.

‘The president knows about it. I’ve spoken with Ivanka [Trump] and I’ve spoken with Jared [Kushner], and I’ve been told that President Trump is aware of the case and has been reviewing it,’ Alice said in an interview.

‘The president knows how much this case means to me,’ Johnson continued before adding, ‘In reviewing Michael Harris’ case, his story, and what he’s gone through, this is such an unfair case.’ ‘He should have been home a decade ago. I really felt for this man. I am very hopeful that he will be home before the end of the Trump administration.’

According to MailOnline, the case was brought to the attention of Johnson by Weldon Angelos, another former prisoner pardoned by Trump after discussing the issue with Snoop Dogg. The trio then reviewed it together during a conference call, where the rapper described Harris as a ‘pillar of the community.’

Harris helped create and finance Death Row Records, which was founded in 1992, with artistes including Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, and The Dogg Pound formerly signed.
