How To Make APC Stronger And More Popular In The South-East—One sure way to make South-East APC members happier and more committed, thereby making the party more attractive to prospective members, more popular, stronger and more electable, is to secure appointments, elective positions and contracts for as many of our members as possible.
That was why we were alarmed when a national 10-member Mobilization Committee for Membership Registration/Revalidation was inaugurated without even one South-Easterner.
We reasonably expect that that mistake will be corrected without delay, by increasing that Committee membership to 12 and including 2 South-Easterners.
To us, we are not bothered about where in the South-East the two will come from. But we would be bothered if they came from one state or if either of them was already holding a government office.
We have always frowned on some individuals holding 2, 3 or even 4 government offices while hundreds of thousands of South-East APC members have nothing at all.
Whatever appointments our Governors, Ministers and other party leaders manage to extract from this Federal Government that has not been generous to the South-East with appointments, should be distributed equitably to as many members as possible.
Overloading certain individuals with appointments at the expense of others is unacceptable greed and avarice.
