BREAKING: Jubilation As ASUU Agrees To Call Off 8-Month-Old Strike—The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Friday agreed to call off its eight-month-old strike.

The decision was reached during a meeting in Abuja by the union and the federal government delegation led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige.

The government also agreed to increase the total payment to the union to N70 billion.

This comes a week after the Federal Government accepted the union’s demand to be exempted from the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).
