#AFCON2021Q: Hostile Leone Stars Force Super Eagles To Take Fresh #COVID-19 Test—-Following their recent embarrassing 4-4 game with the Leone Stars in Edo state, the Super Eagles have arrived Freetown to hostile reception at the International Airport.
Ahead of Tuesday’s 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Sierra Leone the entire Nigerian delegation was subjected to another COVID-19 test at the airport.
Though the Nigerian delegation led by Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau tried to reason with them that the team just did a test before leaving Nigeria but to no avail as the hostility and tension grew between them and the immigration officials.
The Super Eagles were unable to leave the Airport until almost four hours later after which they were allowed to train and have a feel of the Siaka Stevens Stadium at 5:00pm Nigerian time.
