FRESH: Female Soldiers Deployed To Anambra Amidst #EndSARS Uprising—-The Governor of Anambra state has welcomed a special military squad comprising of female soldiers deployed to the state to quell the ongoing uprising resulting from end SARS agitations.
In a statement which he released on his Facebook page, Governor Willie Obiano said the special squad will complement the efforts of the state’s other gallant officers that has made Anambra the safest state in Nigeria.
This move by the governor to deploy female soldiers to the state has however been commended by Nigerians on social media who believe the all-female squad would show more compassion in dealing with residents of the state, unlike their male counterparts.
The governor wrote:
Earlier today, I received a Special Military Squad deployed to our dear State to aid in ensuring total return of peace and normalcy in Anambra.
We have always prioritized security of lives and properties of ndi Anambra and we are determined to take all necessary steps to make sure that every Onye Anambra enjoys peace. Live and work without any form of fear.
This special squad will complement the efforts of the gallant officers of other security agencies in Anambra whose hard work has kept us as the Safest State in Nigeria.
