GARBA VS DORSEY UPDATE: Tope Akinyode Files Suit Against Adamu Garba – #EndSARS—–The CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey has gotten an alliance in the person of Tope Akinyode to challenge the case brought against him by Nigeria’s Adamu Garba.
Akinyode, a Nigerian rights lawyer has sued former presidential candidate, Adamu Garba for suing Jack Dorsey, who is the CEO of Twitter.
The Genius Media recalls that Adamu Garba, sued Jack Dorsey for reportedly lending support to the #EndSARS protests thereby meddling in the affairs of Nigeria. He also alleged that the plan of Jack and others is to topple Nigeria’s government.
Adamu therefore asked the court to compel Jack to pay the Nigeria $1b as compensation for all the damages caused by the #EndSARS protest and to also establish a twitter office here in Nigeria.
Giving an update on Twitter, Tope Akinyode revealed the lawsuit challenging Adamu Garba’s Lawsuit when he wrote:
“Having been consulted by friends & colleagues, I’ve filed court processes to challenge @adamugarba’s lawsuit against @jack & @Twitter. Jack’s support for Nigeria’s cause is commendable. We’ll protect our freedom of expression & resist the move to ban Twitter in Nigeria”
