How The Sun Journalist Escaped Clash Between Looters And Political Thugs In Kogi—-A bloody clash in Kogi state ensured between #EndSARS protesters and political thugs that almost ended the life of the Sun Newspaper correspondent, Emmanuel Adeyemi, amongst others.
Mr. Adeyemi was shot as he made his way to the NUJ Press Centre on Lugard Road in Lokoja, while another unidentified person was also shot on the same road. The both of them were immediately rushed to the Lokoja City Clinic, a private facility where they are currently being treated.
The clash between looters and political thugs In Kogi led to the sporadic shootings into the air making shops and business owners hurriedly close down while residents fled in different directions for their safety.
The development also forced journalists in Lokoja, the state capital, to go into hiding, following information that the gunmen were after them.
