2021 FISCAL BUDGET: National Assembly To Receive N128 Billion – Buhari—President Buhari presented the 2021 Appropriation Bill to a joint session of the National Assembly on Thursday and said the National Assembly will be funded with N128 billion in 2021.
Buhari while addressing the house admitted that the Federal Government is spending more on recurrent expenditure and also noted that personnel cost is still the largest component of budget expenditure.
He ordered heads of the Ministeries, department s and agencies to get approval before any recruitment so as to curtail non-existent personnel (ghost workers) and unauthorised allowances.
In his opening remark to the house, Ahmad Lawan, President of the Senate said the N’Assembly will pass the 2021 Appropriation Bill before the end of 2020.
