BREAKING: Suarez Agrees 2 Year Deal With Athletico Madrid–—Soon after Barcelona striker Luis Suarez was rejected by Juventus Koeman, the player has settled a two year deal with Atletico Madrid, Spain on personal terms.
The 33 year old who has one year to run on his Barcelona contract, agreed a deal with the club to cut it short as he has fixed a contract with Atletico Madrid for two seasons on a lower deal.
Andrea Pirlo had said on Saturday that Barcelona striker Luis Suarez’s move to Juventus was unlikely to go ahead because of delays in the Uruguayan’s bid to get an Italian passport.
Suarez had flown to Italy to take an Italian exam in the city of Perugia in a bid to secure an Italian passport to help facilitate the move so he would not count as a foreign signing but it all for nothing.
