Angry Nigerians Attacks Buhari For Ordering Them To Fill Self-Certification Form––Aggrieved Nigerians have taken to their twitter pages to bombard the FG for ordering them as account holders to obtain, fill and submit self-certification forms or risk losing accounts.

They fault the current government for coming up with this new tatics to frustrate them, having asked them in the past to undergo same for BVN, National ID Cards, other forms of authentic identification in opening any account.

The self-certificationform as ordered by the government on Thursday is a new measure to ascertain due diligence procedures in line with the Income Tax Regulations 2019

National ID is not even useful in this case of filling self certification form. BVN already linked everyone’s accounts together. Not all Nigerians have National ID, I don’t have one yet but everyone with a bank account has BVN.

We’ve identified & verified ourselves through every means possible with National ID, BVN, sim registration, drivers license etc but you still want us to MANUALLY fill form to come & tell you who we are AGAIN. If you don’t know who we are at this point, we are fine with it abeg

Forward-thinking Nations are building digital solutions to solve various problems. But in 2020, our own government still wants us to go queue under the sun to fill and submit “self a certification” forms despite National ID, BVN, Voters Card etc. Suffer no dey taya you????
