At an enlarged APC Ward Seven meeting in Egor LGA, the party members noted that come September 19, 2020 they will come out en masse with their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVC) to vote the candidate of their choice based on competence, integrity and honour, adding, “Edo State politics has gone beyond party affiliation. We are only interested in the development of our state and this, Governor Obaseki has pursued in the last three years and eight months through his people-oriented policies and programmes.”
Present at the meeting were the chairman, APC Ward Seven, Mr. Daniel Iyangbe; Egor APC LGA Secretary, Hon. Osamwonyi Samuel, and APC woman leader in the ward, Rosemary Okundia.
Others are APC vice chairman, Ward Seven, Hon. Ogbeiwi Eghosa; APC LGA, youth leader, Mr. Obhokhan Orumwense and a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor in ward seven, Barr. Stelwalt Imade.
The Counselor representing Iyoba Constituency, Ward Seven in Egor LGA, Hon. Derrick Uhunmwuangho, noted: “As you can see, we have APC state and ward seven executives and members seated here; they are all in support of the reelection of Governor Obaseki and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, who have shown uncommon zeal in pursuing an industrialisation roadmap that is transforming the state into an investment haven for big-ticket projects.
“Governor Obaseki is working tirelessly to better the lives and living standard of Edo people and we urge him to continue with his people-oriented and transformational projects and reforms. He has the support of the majority of the people and no one can stop him. Come September 19, 2020, we will show our appreciation to him by voting for him en masse irrespective of our party differences.
The Egor APC LGA woman leader, Mrs. Josephine Eguakun, said: “We are here to educate and sensitise members of the APC in ward seven on why they should vote for Obaseki and Shaibu. They have performed exceedingly well and deserve reelection to consolidate on their numerous programmes and projects across the state. Governor Obaseki is a God-sent to Edo people and we must be firm in our choice of voting for the governor.”
