LAWMA …..This is to inform members of the public that all street-sweeping briefs awarded to companies associated with Mrs Wuraola Williams prior to now have been duly terminated with immediate effect.
Recall that an audit exercise was recently approved by His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, with a view to reviewing the agency’s operations and repositioning it for greater efficiency and value for tax-payers’ money.
The termination of Her company ’ contracts is informed by established cases of a breach of the terms of agreement.
However, the termination of Mrs Wuraola Williams’ contracts is without prejudice to the security of the jobs of all genuine sweepers, supervisors and service-providers in her area of jurisdiction. Going forward, they are to re- apply to the authority directly and are hereby assured that their applications shall be treated on merit.
In addition, we wish to inform members of the public that, as part of our rebranding process and efforts to sanitize our operations, the management has approved the restoration of an overall as a single uniform for all our sweepers henceforth. This is to enable easy identification of genuine workers.
Consequently, any sweeper or agent who wears any apparel other than the overall uniform approved will be termed an impostor and summarily dealt with according to the extant Laws of the State.
