Akin Abayomi, The Lagos State Commissioner for Health has said that the number of COVID-19 Death In Lagos now stands at 50.
The commissioner disclosed this via his Twitter feed on Saturday evening.
According to him, 254 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Lagos on May 29, bringing the total number to 4,393.
“3 additional #COVID19 related deaths were recorded in Lagos bringing the total number of such deaths to 50,” Abayomi wrote.
He also noted that on the same day, 29 patients – five females and 24 males – were discharged from the state’s isolation facilities.
“This brings the total number of #COVID-19 discharged patients in Lagos to 854,” Abayomi added.
Lagos has the highest number of cases in Nigeria.
