Nana Akuffo Addo, President of Ghana has issued a caveat to persons who spread false news about the increase of confirmed cases in the country.
It could be recalled that some anonymous persons spread false news concerning the increase of confirmed cases in the country on Wednesday 15th April, 2020. The president in his brief Nation’s address has condemned the act and has warned persons behind such despicable act to desist from sharing false information to the public immediately or be held accountable for their own action.
Touching on stigmatization, he has urged everyone to desist from such behavior because the virus is not a death sentence on a person who has suffered from it.
He added that if stigmatization does not stop, it prevents others from undergoing the testing.
