The Lagos state Government said it has not not given any directive to lift the Lockdown during the 2020 Easter celebration.
According to NAIJA LIVE TV , source close to the commissioner for information Lagos state made this known via telephone conversation that Gov. Sanwo-olu did not give any directive that Lagosian should be allowed between the hours of 8 am-to-4 am on Friday to enable residents of the state to shop for Easter celebration.
TGM Had earlier reported that Governor Olusola Sanwo-Olu ordered total compliance with the presidential directives on lockdown in Lagos state – The Lagos governor said those who provide essential services will not be affected by the movement restriction – Sanwo-Olu also reiterated the Lagos state’s commitment to end the spread of coronavirus pandemic
The governor also emphasised on the threats posed by the global pandemic without age and class consideration. He, however, assured that the state government in partnership with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) will curb the spread of the disease.
