The popular Lagos Airport Hotel is currently on fire.
Firefighters and other emergency responders are battling with putting off the inferno as at the time of filing this report.
The public Affairs Officer of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency(LASEMA), Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident.
This laid-back airport hotel is a 5-minute walk from Kalakuta Republic Museum, the former home of musician Fela Kuti, and 4 km from Murtala Muhammed Airport.
The modest rooms have en suite bathrooms, TVs and minifridges. Suites and apartments add living areas, and some have kitchens.
Dining options consist of 3 restaurants, 4 bars, a bakery and a coffee shop. There’s an outdoor pool and a casino that’s open 24/7. Other amenities include a spa, a beauty salon and a fitness centre, plus a business centre and shops. Secured parking and an airport shuttle are available.
