Nigeria’s dominance in combat sports continues to sour.
After Israel Adesanya’s win over Yoel Romero in the UFC, another Nigerian-born heavyweight boxer Efe Ajagba picked up his 13th professional victory yesterday after beating Romanian heavyweight boxer Razvan Cojanu at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The Nigerian Olympian battered his opponent from the first to the ninth round knocking Cojanu in the 2nd, 5th and on two occasions in the eight round.
The 25-year old Ajagba recorded the career-stats improving win with a ninth round KnockOut over the 32 year-old Cojanu who surrendered by taking a knee and the referee called of the match.
As Nigeria have Israel Adesanya, Anthony Joshua, Kamaru Usman, we also have Efe Ajagba who has just improved his heavyweight record to 13-0-0 (11 KOs).
