Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation in Nigeria has revealed that four people managed to convince President Muhammadu Buhari to release Omoyele Sowore and Sambo Dasuki from custody.
Speaking via a Tweet on Monday after the release order on Sowore and Dasuki from the Federal Government, Fani-Kayode said the four people represent the liberal and cerebal wing of the Buhari Government.
He listed their names as Abba Kyari, Abubakar Malami, Hadi Sirika and Kayode Fayemi.
It will be recalled that the Department of State Services (DSS) was ordered to release Omoyele Sowore, convener of the #RevolutionNow movement, and Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), former national security adviser (NSA).
The directive was given by Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation, in a statement issued on Tuesday.
Both Sowore and Dasuki have now been released from custody and united with their families after several weeks in detention for different alleged crimes.
Fani-Kayode stated on Tuesday; “I can tell you authoritatively that 4 people fought from within to get Dasuki & Sowore released & eventually managed to convince Buhari. They are Abba Kyari, Malami, Hadi Sirika and Kayode Fayemi. They represent the liberal and cerebal wing of the Buhari Govt. & I commend them.”
