Owner of Club Quilox and a member of the House of Representatives, Shina Peller, has been released on bail.
Mr Peller was arrested on Monday for allegedly leading thugs to Maroko Police Station to forcefully take back the club’s customers’ cars which were seized for causing traffic.
The police say Peller had been warned severally against causing traffic around the area where the club is located.
However, a recent 36-hour party held by the club seemed to worsen matters.
But Peller’s spokesman said the federal lawmaker met traffic authorities prior to the party to forestall traffic gridlock.
Peller was, however, released on bail after his case was transferred to the State’s Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, following the directives of the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.
