Spanish police officers intervened early as angry members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, attacked Rotimi Amaechi, minister of transportation, in Madrid, Spain, on Friday.
Members of the pro-Biafra group had filed out on the street waiting for the minister but the policemen arrived early before they could beat him to their satisfaction.
However, one of the protesters who spoke in Igbo confirmed that they tore the minister’s suit and gave him a serious beating even before the police could disperse them.
The incident has been generating reactions on social media.
