Nigeria’s Super Eagles have been rated the 2nd youngest team in the world.
According to statistics revealed by Transfer Market, the average age of the Nigerian squad is placed at 24.1. That number is second to Mexico, whose team averages 23.5.
In their last game – a 1-1 draw against Brazil on Sunday – the likes of Samuel Chukwueze, Francis Uzoho, Victor Osimhen and Maduka Okoye, all 20-years-old, featured for Nigeria.
England occupies the third spot with an average age of 25.0. Other countries that completed the top 10 are USA (25.2), Wales (25.3), Tunisia (25.5), Germany (25.6), Brazil (25.7), Argentina (26.0) and Italy (26.1).
After the 1-1 draw against Brazil, Nigeria’s next fixtures are AFCON 2021 qualifiers against Benin Republic and Lesotho, both in November.
