JUST IN: PMB Signs N8.92trn Budget Into Law Today

President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday sign the 2019 budget into law on Monday.
The Senate had on the 30th of April passed the 2019 budget of N8.92trn, into law.

The budget was increased by about N10b , bringing the amount to N8.92T, as against the N8.83T presented by President Muhammadu Buhari on December 18, 2018.

The increase, according to the Senate Committee Chairman on Appropriation, Danjuma Goje, was to accommodate severance allowance for the outgoing law makers of the 8th National Assembly.

The event which will be witnessed by the law makers, will take place at the President’s office and is expected to come after the nationwide broadcast by the President to mark the 2019 Children’s Day celebrations by 7.am.

The President will later meet with Northern Governors after signing the budget.
