Beneficiaries of the Federal Government‘s social intervention programme, N-Power, are currently undergoing headcount and verification nationwide.
According to report, Zamfara state, the exercise which is specifically targeted at the pioneer volunteers, that is 2016 beneficiaries commenced Tuesday 23rd of April.
This online news medium obtained a letter from the Office of The State Focal Person, National Social Investment Programme (N-SIP), Zamfara State Social Investment Office, Gusau N-Power Programme. Part of it reads:
“Sequel to the directive given by the Federal Government through the office of the National Social Investment Programme (N-SIP), all 2016 N-Power beneficiaries are to undergo headcount and verification Nationwide.
“Similarly, all the 2016 N-Power Beneficiaries must come along with the following:
1. Clearance letter from their Place of Primary Assignment (PPA).
2. PPA time-book.
3. Posting Letter.
4. Head of PPA Letter to be attached with the clearance alongside the PPA Address.
Note that any beneficiary who fails to come along with these items would not be entertained…”

From what we know, date of verification or reverification as the case may be, vary from state to state. The headcount is a means to weed out absconding/ghost beneficiaries.
