A 65-year-old man identified as Sulaiman Rauf who allegedly had carnal knowledge of a 10-year-old girl at Araromi Street, Ilase has been arrested by detectives of the Ogun State police command.
Spokesman of the command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the arrest hinted that it was done following a complaint lodged at Idi-rolo divisional headquarters by father of the victim, Fahinhun Mathew.
According to the father, the suspect who is living in their neighborhood sent his daughter on an errand, and when the girl came back, he lured her into his room where he had carnal knowledge of her forcefully.
On coming out of the suspect’s room, she quickly informed her father of what the suspect did to her. When interrogated, the suspect admitted having carnal knowledge of the victim.
