The victory of Governor Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP at the Guber election has prompted various reaction across Nigeria.
One of such reactions is from the Senate President, Bukola Saraki
Saraki who took to Twitter congratulated Gov Nyesom Wike for emerging victorious.
He wrote,
“Congratulations Governor Nyesom Wike on your decisive victory in #RiversDecides2019. As you prepare to begin your next term at the helm of your state’s affairs,
“I wish you and the great people of Rivers State great success and many more achievements in the years to come.”State, Professor Teddy Addia, declared that Governor Wike poll 886,264 votes to defeat his closest rival Biokpomabo Awara of the AAC who polled one hundred and seventy-three thousand eight hundred and nine votes.
Meanwhile, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prince Uche Secondus has also congratulated Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on his re-election.
He noted that the Wike has made the party proud.
“By your peaceful conducts in the face of provocations, you have demonstrated truly that democracy is in your DNA and this we will continue to exhibit until all non-democrats pretending to be one are flushed out of our polity”, he said.
Through a statement from his media office, released today in Abuja, the National Chairman said that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, should hide its head in shame that after four years in the office, it had to use the combined team of gullible INEC staff and military operatives to hang on to power after “stealing the people’s mandate”.
Secondus told the victorious party flag bearers that if they had contested with the APC, it would have been an easy walkover but they found themselves battling with inec and military operatives.
