The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, says there is a gang up against him, his group and Biafra.
Remember that Kanu who resurfaced in Jerusalem, Israel, October 19 2018, after the military invasion of his community in Abia State, southeast Nigeria, in 2017, made this comment in reaction to the court order revoking his bail as well as ordering his arrest.
ORIENTAL TIMES had also reported earlier that a Federal High Court presided over by Justice Binta Nyako in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, revoked Kanu’s bail on Thursday and also ordered his immediate arrest.
Reacting to the court order in a live broadcast on Radio Biafra on Thursday, Kanu said he was compelled to make the broadcast because of what his “enemies are doing head-on”.
The IPOB leader stressed that his enemies will not prevail because light is on his side.
His words:
“I have been compelled to make this very emergency broadcast this evening by the turn of events and we must address what our enemies are doing head-on.
“We know there is gang up against IPOB, there is gang up against Biafra, and there is gang up against my humble self but in all their doings in all their machinations and in all their plans and their atrocities they will never prevail because truth is in our side, light is in our side and Chukwu Okike Abiama is with us and he would never abandon us until Biafra is restored and beyond.
“We are here to propagate this very gospel, the gospel of truth and the gospel of redemption. People of iniquitous disposition will not understand what we are trying to do but the throne of light will”.
Kanu is leading a group seeking secession from Nigeria. The group has since been proscribed by the Nigerian government.
