Raymond Dokpesi was yesterday arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, after returning from a medical trip in Dubai.
AIT, which announced the arrest, quoted an immigration officer as saying Dokpesi is on the federal government’s security watchlist and that there were instructions from above to arrest him on arrival.
Sharing the update of his release, AIT wrote on Twitter;
UPDATE: Media magnate, Raymond Dokpesi, has been released after over an hour of detention at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja, on Friday afternoon.
Chief @RaymondADokpesi was detained on his return from a medical treatment /operation at the American Hospital Dubai, by a security operative who said he had orders from above.
