The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is currently in a meeting to review last Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections.
This is coming hours after the electoral umpire declared President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as winner of the poll and issued him and his running mate, Yemi Osinbajo, certificates of return.
The meeting is between the INEC management team and the Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs)
Chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, in his opening remarks, said that the processes and procedures deployed will be reviewed in a bid to make amends where necessary.
He added that the meeting will help in finalising arrangements for the forthcoming governorship and state assembly elections.
