Chukwuma Agbo, the assistant coach of the Beach Soccer Eagles, has died after a brief illness.
News of his death was announced by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Wednesday.
The Nigerian football authority described the death of Agbo as “another painful loss.”
“We are sad to hear of the passing of Assistant Coach of our Beach Soccer National team, the Super Sand Eagles, Chukwuma Agbo. Our prayers are with his family at this time. May his soul rest in peace,” they wrote.

The beloved coach had served in various capacities in the football world; he is a former Rangers International of Enugu and Delta Force coach.
This is coming few weeks after the death of former secretary general of the Nigeria Football Federation, Taiwo Ogunjobi.
