A tweet via Ologbondiyan read: “After being deceived by series of promises made by @MBuhari &the @OfficialAPCNg, the man who trekked to Abuja from Lagos in support of Buhari has returned to say the APC is dead!! He has also declared his support for our great party @OfficialPDPNig. Brave guy!!”
One month after he embarked on a trek to express his dissatisfaction with the present administration, Isa Mohammed Munlaila, is said to have returned and subsequently showed his solidarity with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
On August 23, 2018, Munlaila, clad in a black T-Shirt and carrying a box painted in what seemed like the colours of the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag — green, white, blue and red — had stated that he was embarking on a trek from Lagos to Abuja to protest against the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari.
It is not clear if he actually completed the trek, but according to Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Munlaila has joined the party.
