The build-up to the 2019 General Elections, a lot has been going on as aspirants jostle to get their nomination forms to show their interest in running for the post of President next year. In a very different event, Elders in Sokoto, on Saturday, gathered to pray for the success of Aminu Tambuwal’s presidential race.
Tambuwal, who is currently Governor of Sokoto State, is seeking to contest for Nigeria’s presidency in the 2019 elections, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The prayers were conducted by elders of Sokoto Central Local Government Area, as well as those of Sokoto North Local Government Area.
According to a tweet via the Sokoto Government House handle, the prayers were for the success of Tambuwal’s ambition to become Nigeria’s President in 2019.
