Tottenham enquired about signing two Manchester United players during the summer transfer window, reports the Manchester Evening News.
United had been interested in Spurs defender Toby Alderweireld, but there was also the possibility of players heading in the opposite direction.
According to the report, Spurs asked about Anthony Martial and Juan Mata, but United rejected the approach for the attacking pair.
