Real Madrid have reached an agreement worth €190m with Chelsea for the signing of Eden Hazard
Los Blancos are also in negotiations with Chelsea over a deal for Thibaut Courtois and it is unclear at this stage as to whether Madrid’s €190m bid also includes a deal for the goalkeeper.
Eden Hazard looks set to be granted his dream move to Real Madrid this summer with the reigning European champions reaching an agreement with the Blues.
The 27-year-old spoke after the World Cup over his desire to seek a new challenge following six years at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard said:
“After 6 wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different. Certainly after this World Cup.
“I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go.
“You know my preferred destination.”
Following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus earlier this month, Madrid have been working on a deal to recruit his replacement with Hazard been viewed as an ideal candidate.
The club from the Spanish capital now appear to have reached an agreement with both Chelsea and the player having offered Hazard a contract offer worth €15m.
