A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the service of processes to First Bank Plc to appear over the sealing of White Plains British School Limited.
Justice Babatunde Quadri granted hearing in the matter yesterday, and directed the bank to reply within 48 hours after service of the papers.
The orders followed an ex parte application by the school challenging the use of block fencing to seal off gates and foot entrances into the school over alleged debt default.
Counsel to the school, Chukwu Machukwu-Ume (SAN) had told the court that First Bank Plc and its receiver, Bola Olotu had breached the judgment of another Federal High Court presided by Justice Binta Nyako not to go near the school to traumatize the students, but to request earnings sharing formula with the school.
The case has been adjourned to Thursday, July 19.
